Claire's Promise

A Life of Impact

Our Story

Claire’s Promise is a community service initiative created to honor the life and legacy of Claire Zeller, a lifelong friend who was more like family, a cousin in heart and spirit. Claire was just 24 years old when her life was tragically cut short on November 2, 2024, after getting into a car with an impaired driver.Founded by Shelby Bordelon, Claire’s Promise raises awareness about the devastating impact of impaired driving, advocates for victims and their families, and supports survivors in the aftermath of these preventable tragedies. What began as a personal vow to never let Claire’s story be forgotten has grown into a mission to educate, empower, and drive change. Through outreach, events, and partnerships: including with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), we work to save lives and support those affected by impaired driving.

Our Mission

Claire’s Promise is dedicated to honoring the life of Claire Zeller by raising awareness about the dangers of impaired driving. I advocate for victims, support survivors, and work to prevent future tragedies through education and community outreach. In partnership with organizations like MADD, I am committed to creating safer roads and lasting change. Every step I take is a promise to keep Claire’s story alive and protect others in her name.
